Turkish Canadians have been celebrating April 23 Children’s Day, in their beloved adopted country Canada in the true Canadian way of uniting communities and contributing to valuable charities. Each year, Turkish communities in all major Canadian cities, organize their own children’s event on April 23, bringing Canadians of various ethnic backgrounds together. Beside the celebrations with children during the day time, Turkish community of Ottawa also organizes a gala dinner for Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). These gala dinners feature music, fashion show and other entertainment and raise thousands of dollars for CHEO.
